Coverage Options
Understanding your coverage options helps you build a policy that protects what matters — without paying for what you don't need.
Multi-Car Policy Structure
A multi-car policy puts two or more owned vehicles on a single policy. Each vehicle can carry its own coverage level — liability only, or liability plus collision and comprehensive — while the whole policy earns the multi-car discount.
Liability Insurance
Every vehicle on a multi-car policy must carry at least your state's minimum liability limits. Bodily-injury minimums range from $15,000 to $50,000 per person across states; property-damage minimums range from $5,000 to $50,000.
Full Coverage Per Vehicle
Full coverage adds collision and comprehensive to liability. On a multi-car policy, you choose which vehicles get full coverage and which carry liability only — the discount applies regardless of how you mix coverage levels.
Uninsured Motorist Coverage
Uninsured motorist coverage pays when another driver hits you and has no insurance or insufficient limits. Required in 22 states. On a multi-car policy, this coverage typically applies per vehicle.
